Civil Service Test for Village Job Irvington

The New York State Civil Service Commission announces an exam for the Water Maintenance Man Grade 1 position in the Village of Irvington to be held February 5, 198. Salary ranges from 100 to 2700 plus a $200 cost of living adjustment. the expected salary for the successful candidate is $2625. St Barnabas Guild held a Saturday Parish House fair described as the largest and finest in years. Siade Sekeol Choir Christmas Program at School

The Siade Sekeol Choir presented a Christmas program on Tuesday afternoon at Carneste Hall with Mrs Phyllis te Nitaker directing. Students from eleven junior and senior high schools, including Ivington, attended a special Month Symphony concert by New York Philharmonic members at Carneste Mall. Fined for Passing School Bus Adds Local Fines

In Irvington Village Court on Wednesday, several motorists were fined for offenses including passing a school bus and speeding. Daniel Ramos, Allen Ockene, Louis Kapy, Joseph Paince, and Car Fan Dam received fines of 10 to 25 dollars each. The village police began a campaign targeting bus and speeding violations and reported a total of 55 dollars in speeding fines among four motorists.

School Mothers Net Bridge Night at Holy Spirit Hall

The Mothers Club of Imace nte Conception School held a dessert bridge last Thursday at Holy Same Hall.
