The former residence of Cyrus Feld called the Monks estate near Anstey, overlooking the Hudson, was sold at auction Tuesday by Greenburgh for 12100 dollars. Eugene C Lang of St Charles Michigan bought it through J Eugene Baker of Dobies Ferry, planned to restore and use it as a residence. An earlier bidder, Zolton Osowitz of South Broadway, Tevington, had offered 7800 dollars for the mansion and three acres. The property, foreclosed under a tax lien, had been vacant for over a year and the previous owner was the late Monts. The sale description cited the structure as in good condition.
