Drowned Ferry Worker Edward Rudick Memorialized
Irvington and Tarrytown mourn the loss of Edward Rudick age 28 after a ferry accident at Tarrytown landing. The Tarrytown police and Westchester units assisted in the river search. funeral services were held at Saint Teresa Church in Irvington. Rudick, a longtime Irvington crewman with the Hudson Ferry Company, lived in North Tarrtown and served as an assistant pilot prior to the tragedy.

Irvington Church reception honors Rev A W Craig sale of Vietor estate
Hundreds of Irvington Presbyterian Church members crowded the parlors last Thursday for a reception honoring Rev. Adam W Craig Ph D recently called as pastor. The Vietor estate on West Linton Avenue adjoining the railroad right of way sold to Walice C Jago for 8000 dollars. The 78 acre property, including the residence, was listed for assessment at 58788 dollars. Jago, an architect with offices on Park Avenue New York, is said to act for a client planning a garden apartment project on the site and has reportedly finished plans for a garden apartment development nearby.

He has suffered mental distress from the Sino Japanese War and sent funds abroad to aid his homeland causing shortages at his shop. Patrolman Foley reported a disorderly scene as locals entered the store to demand aid and Wu was removed for examination.
