Joseph V Crueilla of 4 South I Broadway a former Hastings on Hudson High School teacher is resident actor at Green Mountain Playhouse Pouttney Vermont in The Crucible He has portrayed Hobson's Choice Time of the Cuckoo Streetcar Named Desire Light Up the Sky and Harvey on stage and appeared in The Philadelphia Story with White Plains Community Theatre and Brigadoon with the Dobbs Ferry Players Includes radio work and theater credits.
Irvington public schools announce the opening of the year on Wednesday September 7 with morning sessions for all grades. Classes will meet in East Irvington Sheldon Avenue and Main Street buildings, using basement and special rooms for elementary and secondary instruction. New staff additions include eleven teachers and several administrators to handle a growing student body.
Irvington residents Mr and Mrs Harry F Wier celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at the Patricia Murphy Candlelight Restaurant in Yonkers. They have lived in Spiro Park, Irvington for twenty years. Mrs Wier is former Susan Donaldson of Sugar Grove, Pa. They married in New York City on August 19, 190_. Their daughter Allison Wier, a Barnard College and Irvington High School graduate, teaches in a New York City high school.
Two Irvington young men James dePauli and Thomas Campbell were injured early Saturday when their southbound car blew a tire and crashed into a tree near Bunnyside Lane. DePauli, a Livingston Water Dept. employee, suffered possible nose fracture, rib injuries, and knee cuts, while Campbell had cuts and a possible elbow fracture. They were taken to Tarrytown Hospital.
Mrs C E Vaughan of Green Isle Mississippi was honored at a surprise party given by Mrs Norman King at her home 20 Main Street. Attendees included Mrs Dean Merch Mrs Essie Paul Mrs Heten Reich Mrs Edna Stecoy of Magings Mrs Nancy Slavin of Hastings and Mrs Dorothy Ki A buffet supper was served.
Hudson House Inc owner of the Hudson House apartment seeks to reduce the 850000 assessment after a prolonged dispute with the village over connecting to the town sewer system. A commission ordered connection to the treatment plant, while storms caused minor damage and the firemen's bazaar suffered losses from washed out setups.

Miss Crighton a graduate of Irvington High School and on the nursing staff of Bronxville Hospital. Mr Muntz employed by American Airlines at LaGuardia Air Field.
Emergency flood relief efforts organized by the County Red Cross at the White Plains chapter house on North Broadway. Residents urged to donate money and supplies to aid Pennsylvanian and New Jersey victims while relatives search for news of friends and food in affected areas. Contributions directed to the county headquarters at 108 North Broadway.
