Huge trees fall during storm on Harrima Road

During a Wednesday night storm with high winds a pair of large trees felled on Harrima Road near Illo Whitehouse property, blocking the roadway. Frank Unner, assistant water superintendent, found the toppled trunks and alerted authorities who sent men to remove the debris and reopen the street.

New York youths reported a canoe recovered in the river after a search by ferry crew and police. The craft was found floating and later towed to shore with some parts reportedly damaged while rescuers thanked officers for the probe.
