Village seeks NRA loan for Broadway paving project

The village seeks a 118900 loan from the National Recovery Administration to cover its 70 percent share of Broadway improvements. Broadway Park Courts Work Advances Fast

Workmen at Broadway Park advance rapidly on new courts with expectations to be ready by the first of next month. Park officials note the courts will be in the center of the wire barriers to prevent access to nearby homes and halls. Wire fences were donated by an unemployed donor.

Canoe occupants captured linked to Hinks burglary

An 184 canoe recovered near Yonkers linked to the Hinks jewelry burglary. Police described the craft and contents found aboard including paddles, a water canteen and clock. A burglar captured at Yonkers was questioned. the case involves $10,000 in jewelry from a midnight entry through a first floor window.

A group of youths in Tarrytown caused a window to shatter at Avenue and Mala last night at 11:00. One boy sustained a deep elbow cut requiring six stitches after glass showered him. he was treated by Dr. William R. Keane and taken to the hospital as patrols secured the scene and boarded up the opening overnight.
