Banner meeting for Sioux County meat producers in Ireton

The Corn Belt Meat Producers Association will hold a banner meeting at Viotto's hall in Ireton on Saturday March 4 starting at 1 30 PM. President D Montgomery and Secretary W R Winders call for wide attendance to hear delegates from the state convention, review a year of work, and feature a national reputation speaker with music by the Irton Concert Band.

A young man from Ireton who wandered east for snow in Clayton county left to track deer and did not return. After a night search he was found next morning assisting with chores for a retired farmer near Guitenburg. John Victho was last identified.

Debates Set At Evansville On March 3

A debate at the Evansville school house east of the church will test the resolution that the Ireton Weekly Ledger justified refusing Montgomery Ward & Co. Four debaters including Ayle, C. Bushby, Rev. H. P. Maust, and Will Bushby will argue for and against with judges to be chosen at the meeting. Large attendance is expected. Also notes low fare excursion trains to Mardi Gras in New Orleans and winter resorts with special sale dates through March.
