Northwestern winter cripples trains and routes in Midwest

Quayle's magnetic portrayal captivates audience at M E Church

Dr Win Quayle delivered a two hour lecture on Jean Valjean drawing a satisfied crowd. His varied performance ranged from tragic to humorous, eliciting awe and tears, with applause at the close. The next lecture on March 31 will feature Royal entertainers, to be announced.

Public School Library Benefit Program Feb 24

Teachers and pupils of the Ire ton public school plan a Friday evening program at the UN church on Feb 24 to raise funds for the school library. An admission fee will be charged and two or more numbers are prepared by each room. The program includes music recitations songs and readings by students and teachers. Proceeds will buy books for the library.

Buried the Wrong Corpse in Hull Cemetery

A grave mix up near Hull last Friday led to the interment of a stranger’s casket instead of J. W. Bogess old soldier and former resident. A late Milwaukee train delayed the body transport and sleigh burial proceeded with many mourners before telegrams revealed the error. The Bogess body was recovered and reburied after a second service.
