Dennis Litzmann of Kingsley is admitted to St Joseph hospital in Sioux City on Monday June 16 after a horse he rode fell with him, injuring a leg and pelvis area. He is in traction in room 304 following surgery on Wednesday. Les Schimmer of Kingsley entered St Joseph hospital Friday for kidney obstruction surgery and will stay a few days in room 315.

Soldier Louis Walter Receives Medals in Vietnam
Louis Walter son of Mr and Mrs William Zimmer Le Mars has completed two years of U S Army service. He trained at Fort Polk and Fort Benning and served in Viet Nam with the 101st airborne division earning the Purple Heart Bronze Star Army Commendation Medal National Defense Service Medal Viet Nam Campaign Medal and Air Medal. He was stationed at Fort Ord Calif before discharge and plans to resume college this fall.
