Death of Ezra Pearce Gera Pearce in Illinois
Ezra Pearce Gera Pearce a well known Union township and LeMain figure died at his Aurora Illinois home Saturday after months of illness. He suffered a hip fracture from a fall and was believed to have had a paralytic attack. He owned farms in Illinois and this county and left a sizable fortune from industry and thrift. Born near eighty years ago in Urbana Ohio he moved early to Illinois with Chicago then Fort Dearborn. Survived by a second wife and children Mrs Goudie and Mrs Hoyt, with J. Hoyt and Thomas Goldie attending his bedside recently. Funeral attendees included Thomas Goldig and J38 Hoyt who returned after the funeral plans.
