The Plymouth County W C T U convention will be held at Hildreth Church on Thursday August 3. A pot luck luncheon is served at 12 noon with an afternoon program starting 1 30. Agnes McIntosh, long time resident of Anaheim California, died there on August 25 1950 after several years of illness. She is survived by a daughter. Funeral arrangements will be announced.

Emma Probst wife of Frank Probst of Parshall North Dakota died at her home after years of illness. She was 64. Funeral services will be in Le Mars at 7 30 am on Friday September 1 with Msgr J D Fisch officiating burial in St Josephs Cemetery. Born in Iranville Iowa in 1886 she was daughter of Mr and Mrs Jake Fisch. She married Frank Probst in 1906 in Iranville and lived in Parshall for 35 years. Survived by husband one brother and no sister remains at Wiltgens Funeral Home Thursday evening.

Under Doctor's Care in Sioux Valley Hospital
Seventy two year old Frank Hurd of Cherokee rural route 1 was admitted Thursday morning after breaking a leg in a fall from a hay rack while helping Tom Holmes on the Holmes farm near Cherokee. His right leg was fractured below the knee. Holmes drove back and reported the accident. Hurd admitted at 10 50 a m and said to be in good condition. William Strahmann, 51, of Larrabee, suffered a neck injury falling from atop hay into a rack on his farm. Strahmann went to Sioux City for examination by a bone specialist, his condition termed satisfactory. A son was born to Mr and Mrs Tilman Anderson, west of Akron, at Akron hospital, August 22 1950.

He sent many cans of coffee to relatives because coffee is scarce there and hosts welcome him with hot coffee and cake or cookies. Jones fined for drunk driving in Sioux County
FINED W J JONES about 53 of Ireton was fined 300 dollars and costs in district court in Sioux County August 21 for driving a car while drunk. He failed to stop for a stop sign at a Perry Creek road intersection and his car was hit broadside by a car driven by Wendell Groenmeyer of Craig. Mrs Groenmeyer suffered abrasions on one leg. Jones must surrender his liquor permit and his driver's license was suspended 60 days.
