Zone School Band Concert Delights Local Audience

Aarve and appreciative audience witness Zone School Band’s first public concert last Friday evening. Under Principal Karl A. Bromn and M Uniele the program featured Elementary March, Soft Music waltz, Winnie Brown piano solo Our Leader, Alvin Ceol harmonica solo, Harold Kincade and Charles Lundell duet, Flower Bell Waltz, Donald Heliker vocal, Ralph Gibson Henry Webert and Don Donald Heliker trio, First Regiment March, Mary Wabrdi sax solo, Ralph Gibson piano solo, Pansy Waltz and Our Beginners March by the Band.

Student Body Officers Elected for 1980 81

The school elected Mon day officers for 1980 81 with Rarle McCebe president Norman Swanson vice president Helen Smouse secretary treasurer Barton Clark athletic manager Francis Treedson transportation manager Joe Engleman yell leader Supt Earle A Brown will leave at year end to become principal in Italy California He and Mrs Brown have served the community. The school will close May 22 with the Baccalaureate sermon May 18 and graduation May 2. Gordon Drapers sells Harvesting Machinery at Paul Baldiger's.

Election Returns Highlight Local Primary Nominations

A primary election last Friday produced nominations for F. H. Robison as Justice of the Peace and Gorge Frank as constable on the Republican ticket. The lone precinct ballot listed Williams and Walker as national committeemen. Reports note travel routes, hometown visits, school staff updates, and social visits across lone and nearby communities. The Sunday baseball score favored Wasco over Jane 5 to 1.

Pleasant Vale School Program Delights Four Pupils

Pleasant Vale School held an evening program Thursday led by teacher Miss Wilma Chase. With four pupils, the dialogues recitations and songs pleased attendees. A social hour and refreshments followed, and about forty people attended.

Willows Grange Sets May Meetings and Degree Events

Willows Grange plans regular session at Cecil hall on May 24 with initiation of a large class in 1st and 2nd degrees and third degrees to be given on a June meeting night. May 31 features Willows degree team tableau corps performing 5th degree for Mikkalo Grange in Arlington. A field meet for the first Sunday in June is planned with program to be announced. Visitors need a password. invitation dances are halted without a member vote.

School Faculty Named for 1930 31 at Lexington

The teaching staff for the 1930 31 year at Lexington has been completed with George E. Tucker selected principal. New and returning teachers include Miss Stef Anders, Miss Dolores Leavens from the University of Oregon, and Thomas Lye Baird who will handle handwork. Grade assignments list Harriet Brown, Hildegde Williams, Maud Knight, and Geneva Pesky across various grades. Bullard's Pharmacy advertises a removal sale inviting personal investigation.
