Sheep shipments aid Montana trip and losses reported
Fred Buchanan returns from Montana where he helped prepare grazing land for Krebs Brothers sheep and notes plentiful feed. Tom Reimer suffers heavy losses as about three hundred sheep die crossing the mountains. Krebs Brothers and Minor bout but one ewe and three lambs remain. Laxton McMurray Blaih Blackwell and Water Eubanks are in Heppner this week on Grand Jury duty.

Oregon State College awards 489 degrees in June commencement
Hazel Orrat Felvinen will receive a pharmacy degree as part of 489 graduates to be conferred by President Wad Kerr at Oregon State University on June 2. The School of Commerce leads with 109 grads, followed by Engineering with 92. Master’s degrees will be awarded to 25 students, including Miss Feldman in pharmaceutical chemistry, noted for her campus activity and Phi Chi Rho membership.
