Busy Hollow residents record visits at Henry Aikman and Mona lines becoming usable via Aladdin Mona connection. Meesers Cook and Sims installed new telephone at Fred Aikman ranch. Dave Derrickson fished Sand Creek reporting about a hundred catches. First month at Aikman school ended with punctual students Willi[e] Aikman Bether Aikman and Sammy Aikman recognized.
The annual school meeting last Monday saw strong support for the board led by Eaton who was re elected as director and an increased appropriation from four thousand dollars to a higher amount this year. The Globe commends the board for honesty and prudent use of taxes and notes growing demand for high quality teachers.
The next issue will announce the date for a social to be held under the Baptist You People’s Union. Proceeds will fund church repairs and other interior improvements. Watch for the announcement.
