Labor Day Picnic At Fair Grounds Draws Small Crowd

Attendance was the smallest yet for the annual Labor Day picnic. Crowds centered on the Indianapolis versus Louisville baseball game while events at the Business Men's Driving Club grounds included races, a knife and jewelry game, and a fortune wheel halted by officials. Winners included Carl Fisher in auto races, Charles Somers in several events, Albert Mulkey in the pie contest, and Ruth Lynen in the baby show with a gold necklace. Dancing complemented the day with a well patronized pavilion and evening festivities.
