On Monday night near Randolph Missouri a head end collision between Rock Island freight and an oncoming train killed four engineers and firemen from Trenton Missouri. Engineer Speer Griffith Ballinger and Manhardt perished and Ralph Gibson was seriously injured. Both Rock Island and Wabash lines blocked until noon.
