Sixty seven unions marched in the Kansas City Labor Day parade with about 16400 marchers. Senator Fairbanks delivered the keynote speech praising labor unions for education, wages, hours, child labor drama, and moral force. Fort Wayne Indiana September 1 Rev R D Spellman aged 90 was operated on for appendicitis Sunday night. The operation went well and he is in a fair way to recover. He has been prominent in the Methodist church for half a century.
