U P Mab ley & Co the longtime Detroit retailer filed three chattel mortgages with Union Trust Company as trustee for creditors. The three liens cover nearly 370 000 dollars of stock and fixtures. Rumor of Fred D Grant visiting is unconfirmed.

The party aims to maintain permanent headquarters for national and congressional committees, likely at Normandie, with decision after the national executive committee meeting. Vice-Chairman Apsley expects the headquarters in Washington.

Greensburg Pennsylvania reports a young farmer James Tarr secretly wed a neighbor’s 19 year old daughter on decoration day. After discovering the union the parents barred Tarr from the home. When the couple were briefly together on a Sunday the man killed his wife then shot himself. The distraught father later threw Tarr’s corpse into the yard. The motives remain unclear.
Reported Monday that a large new brewery may be built in Indianapolis with Frank Maus and Joseph Schaff interested. Plans drawn place the building on the former Landers park site. Maus is in New York City and no definite details have emerged.
