Ohio House and Senate held joint session for U S senator on Tuesday with Hanna leading in both chambers. Hanna outpolled McKisson in the house short term race and the senate vote, setting up a likely victory on the Wednesday joint ballot.
In Columbus on January 1 the two houses plan a joint ballot for senator at noon. If Hanna gains one vote from Cramer and absent Democrat Hanna falls one vote short. A deadlock looms if Wiley Hess Hazlett and Hanna split voters. Gerrard’s rejection by anti-Hanna Republicans shifts support to Hanna.
