Mysterious New York Crossing Delay Ends in Injury
Indianapolis incident reports Albert Schmock denying crossing passage for an ambulance causing John Riley to be struck by a cut of cars near Hardingst two tracks from the Big tour crossing. Riley, age a flagman, is in City Hospital with serious injuries. Detour spanned nearly five miles as track elevation work blocked routes. Police later cleared passage after ambulance intervention.
