VW McVicker aged 92 died at his son in law David Cady home Meridian street Indianapolis Sunday at 10 50 am. Born Wheeling West Virginia December 7 1818 he came to Indianapolis 1836 then moved to Dayton until 1860 before returning to Indianapolis. He leaves four daughters Mrs Henry Schwinge Mrs David Cady of Indianapolis and Mrs William S Garrett and Mrs John Mendenhal of Los Angeles. Funeral Monday 2 30 pm at Cady home Rev A J Graham officiating Crown Hill burial private.

Dr. J. S. Serrin died Sunday midnight at 281 New Jersey Street from blood poisoning after sudden illness following a Chosen friends meeting where he was re elected secretary. Born in Terre Haute in 1833, he practiced dentistry in Rockville and medicine in Brazil before settling in Indianapolis. He leaves a wife and three children Philip Serrin of New York William Serrin of Indianapolis and Alice Wathen of Cleveland. Funeral arrangements await his son’s arrival from New York.
