Telegraph Wires and a Masked Courtship Gone Awry
A telegraph operator recounts a flirtation carried on over wire with a girl who sent him her photo and later learned he had used another man’s image. After meeting in town and at a dance, the deception is exposed at the theater by the very people involved, ending in a supper invitation and a lesson about outwitting a clever adversary.
