Narrow escape as auto is struck by freight train

An elderly woman in a Ford and a male driver were in a collision east of town on Thursday. The Wissell car carried five women. all escaped serious injuries except Mrs Sarah Willson who broke a leg. An unknown man was killed by a Buffalo Rochester and Pittsburg train near the Indian Brewery plant on Thursday night. Rev J T Robb of Whitesburg visited Mr and Mrs John McConnell on Monday. Ralph Wigging, formerly in the Canal Zone, plans to sail soon for South America for an engineering contract.

State Geological Survey reports 1912 mineral output in Indiana County valued at over 10.5 million dollars, with a 16 percent rise from 1911.
