At a court house meeting the Indisur branch elected permanent officers President Frank Douglass Treasurer A B Cunningham Secretary J A Crossman. A committees to solicit subscribers and stock were named with detailed ward coordinators. By law committee and franchise negotiators were appointed. Over 70 business leaders are subscribed and the list is expected to grow when canvass completes. Next meeting is Tuesday evening to report. Local passenger train hit an open switch at Smiths Station delaying service three hours. No injuries occurred though the engine and car sustained damage and a replacement engine was secured at a cost. The incident was blamed on an unsuccessful wrecking attempt by two men who opened the switch and fled.
