Victims of dread disease in Robinson and Johnstown
Two local men died last week in Johnstown from smallpox. Gilbert Fee, 24, son of Mrs. Amanda Fee of Robinson, barber by trade, lived with his sister at Morrellville and was unmarried. Albert Lanmereauz, 22, formerly of Bolivar, also died of smallpox and had resided in Johnstown. Sheriff D E Thompson sold a fine team of black horses to undertaker John Henderson of Johnstown for use as a hearse team. H R Umburn of Statler Run, WV, bought F C Bell’s share in Bell & Lewis grocers. Umburn and his wife will move here to run Lewis & Umburn at the Philadelphia and Ninth streets location.

Deaths Rock Green Township as Fireman Dies From Injuries
Mr Jonathan Butterbaugh a 67 year old Green township resident died in his sleep likely from apoplexy following a week of declining health. Veteran of Civil War and G A R member his funeral was held at Erat Mahoning Baptist church with G A R attending. Another death, V Blair Wissinger, 23, fireman on a freight engine died from injuries after a cab struck by bridge iron near Packaddle. Interment in Elderton cemetery.

John Paul of Arcadia was jailed after last week’s arrest in Phillipsburg on a larceny charge. He allegedly stole $60, two gold rings and a gold watch from a Slavab Arcadia resident.
