Charles T. Lemmon, a long time town resident and court stenographer since 1886, died after a two day illness from peritonitis. Born July 14, 1861 in Kittanning, he married Laura Shankle in 1889 and was active in Masonry Shakespeare Club and Episcopal church. Funeral at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at his home with Masons accompanying to Kittanning Friday for interment.

Death of Samuel Dugan in town at age 59
Samuel Dugan died suddenly Friday at 9 30 pm after retiring in his bed. Cause was apoplexy. He was born in Stroutsbridge England in 59 years ago and came to America in 1857. He lived in Pittsburg Martins Ferry Ellwood City before settling here in 1894. A glassworker by trade he held a responsible position in the local plant. Surviving are wife with four children Thomas Alfred Elizabeth and Fonny and three brothers and two sisters including Thomas Dugan of Wheeling. Funeral at his son Thomas Browns Avenue Oakland conducted by Rev George Rogers with burial at Greenwood cemetery.

A safe in the Coal Company's Glen Campbell office was blown open and about $200 was taken. No injuries reported and police are investigating the burglary. Local authorities urged any witnesses to come forward.

On Monday J A Frick J H Engle and J I Oin purchased the Clymer Manufacturing company on West Philadelphia street for 8075. They will buy the stock and assume control next week with Frick likely to become manager. The firm plans to enlarge the plant and construct a machine shop. The plant was previously owned by a stock company with H M Bell as manager.

Oldest Hood Family Celebrates 50th Anniversary
