Tragic Hunting Accident Ends Two Lives in Woods
In Lovejoy area a field accident killed Vincent Hadden, 19, after he was shot in the head by his companion Void Young during a rabbit chase near Cockport. The single shot occurred as Hadden rose from a brush pile after Young flushed a rabbit. Hadden died instantly. Young, 21, is described as grief stricken. Funeral plans set for Hadden at 10 a.m. with Rev. McGuire officiating.

A foreigner seeking a lost friend described as Portuguese, Manuel Gerardes, arrived from Scotland to find someone who knows a miner in the area, but could not recall the name.
