Albert Gaible aged German shoemaker of this place died Monday afternoon at his east Philadelphia street home. Born in Germany in 1828 he came to America in 1857 and lived briefly in Indiana before settling here. He worked as a cobbler since age twelve and is survived by his wife and five children Frank E. Gaible of Vandergrift and Miss Minta at home.

Rumor of Big Coal Field Sale in Jacksonville
Rumors say landowners in the Jacksonville coal field covering 40 000 to 60 000 acres will soon receive payments from options held by John McGaughey and secured by Stamey King and Carter. Judge White ruled in favor of landowners last year and a Supreme Court appeal has held the options until next October. The Indiana and Jefferson Coal Company plans a new mine at Chambersville on the John Hilbery farm with a general coal plant and many workers.
