Joel suffered geysers burns on his hands while the fire was extinguished and little damage occurred. A separate incident saw Livey McGaughey’s horse bolt near the road but caused no injuries. The 58th Palladium Lodge banquet and arrangements followed, with Presbyterians catering and Apples Orchestra providing music for dancing later. A local operation success to remove appendicitis was reported for Harry Younkins of Church Street in Pittsburgh. An elopement tale noted Jessie Molart and Chaylen Jenkins fleeing to marry after Jenkins abandoned his fiancé at the altar.

Caboose of Indiana Freight Plunges Over Embankment
The caboose of the Indiana Freight on the Indiana branch of the B. & KR railroad plunged over a 16 foot embankment at Cleosation Monday night injuring conductor Daniel McAndrews and brakemen Harey Conway Braker Willian Creek and Wayman Silas Klmer. All injured occupied the car at the time and made narrow escapes as the caboose broke from the train and rolled over the bank.
