The Christmas Chimes of the Silent Bells
In a distant country a grand church on a hill houses famous Christmas bells that have not rung for years. Pedro and his younger brother plan a visit, and Pedro sacrifices his offering to aid a freezing woman outside the city walls. Inside, the king’s gift fails to wake the bells until the younger brother quietly places his silver piece on the altar, and the chimes finally ring.
