Boy and aged woman perish in flames
Two fatal fires claim a ten year old boy and an elderly woman in separate incidents. The boy perished in a blaze at his parents’ home on the second floor after a stove or lamp sparked a rapid fire. Mrs. Glenn escaped by jumping from a bedroom window but the child and her husband perished. In Conemaugh township an elderly widow, Mrs William Welly, burned to death when her home burned, with her husband having died the previous week.
