Ghostly schemes and a haunted pay day in old town

A tale recalls Peter Baines who fled a dozen years of belief in ghosts after five specters visited him to demand money for several women. Each ghost warned of doom unless he paid, ranging from 1000 to 5000 dollars, as he faced curses and a nightmarish haunting. The eerie episodes end with Peter’s fear and the unanswered cash demands.
