New School Law Aims at Universal Education
The act approved July 30 1902 supersedes the 1901 law and requires all children ages six to sixteen to attend school teaching common English branches through the term. Exemptions apply for certain ages and conditions, with fines for parents and teachers who fail to comply. Copies available from the secretary of the commonwealth. Also includes a brief medical testimonial and a farm newspaper subscription offer.
