A Sabbath afternoon electrical storm struck Mrs. Elizabeth Wyant's Covode barn, totally destroying it. Livestock, grain, hay, and some farming implements were lost. Fire started about 1 o clock with no insurance to cover the $1,200 loss.

Death of Mrs Solomon Harman in Chambersville
Mrs Solomon Harman of Chambersville died suddenly on Sabbath morning from apoplexy after breakfast. She was about 60 years old, twice married, leaving her last husband and two children from her first marriage, Joseph Dibler of Avonmore and Minnie Dibler at home. A Baptist, her funeral was held Tuesday at the Chambersville church with interment in the church cemetery.

Mrs Lawrence Bell of White township died Friday morning after measles and pneumonia. She was about 20 years old, a daughter of John Nealor. Her husband and parents survive. A Catholic funeral at St Bernard Church was held Sunday at 2 30 p m with interment in the church cemetery.

Accidents On The Branch Trains Delayed Twice
The local passenger train was delayed twice on Monday due to derailment when a baggage car flange broke at Blacklick station on the return trip near Homer City. Passengers were held over four hours while a freight locomotive hauled the train in at 3 30. A separate Saturday incident saw a rock fall near Blacklick at the big cut below the track, narrowly missing the cars but causing some damage.
