Two Demented Prisoners Inmates At Dixmont Treatment
James Gibson of Cherryhill township was jailed on a peace charge after years of head injury left him demented and prone to self harm. He tore clothing and threatened violence while in jail and was sent to Dixmont for care. German-born Frederick Keiffer Dies After Long Illness
Frederick Keiffer a longtime resident of town died at his North Fifth Street home Friday evening at 10 45 after nearly three years with consumption of the bowels. Born in Baden Germany March 6 1831 he came to the U S in 1837 and lived in Johnstown before moving to Indiana where he worked shoemaking for 15 years. He later ran a hotel here for ten years and in recent years engaged in mercantile business. A Civil War veteran he also served in the German regular army. Survived by his wife Rose Oswald and daughters Mrs Lee Oost Mrs Mary Brady and Mrs Andrew Nealor all of town and 13 grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday at St Bernard Catholic church with interment in the church cemetery.

Tragic Glen Campbell Rail Crash Kills Mother
Mrs. Margaret Brady of Billsdale died rescuing her two sons when an empty freight train plowed into them near Glen Campbell Junction. Her sons were badly injured, with arms mangled and other wounds, while Miss Alice Hughes escaped with minor injuries.
