Ten Indiana County youngsters will join about 1,200 Pennsylvania boys invited to Camp Penn at Indiantown Gap from August 15 to 29. Selection shifts to county medical directors with age limits lowered to 12 to 14, and counselors set at one per ten boys. Police Seek Two In Thefts In Indiana Borough
Indiana Borough police seek two young men suspected in purse snatching and car thefts on Saturday night. A woman reported her shoulder bag with over $100 stolen near Church Street and Carpenter Alley, trail led to Taylor Alley where she lost them. The same pair allegedly stole a truck near the old Eagles on Snellocta Road, later found abandoned after about 70 miles. Early Court Sentences Four Prisoners Today in Indiana County
At Indiana County Court the noon session saw four prisoners sentenced. Byron Wofford Findley pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated and received a $250 fine and six months in the Allegheny County Workhouse. Tale Gibson, charged with fornication and base larceny, must pay costs and $15 monthly for 106 months. Willie G. Ellison of Blairsville faced license suspension and was fined $50 plus six months in Indiana County Jail, with parole possible on full payment. Joseph F. Simon, Chevy Chase, unlawfully carrying a firearm, fined $1, costs, and six months in jail, with immediate parole on payment. Mike Bellas of Josephine, pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter and awaits sentencing this afternoon.
