Train crash near Leetsdale claims three lives
Three men en route to work were killed when a Detroit to Pittsburgh flyer of the Pennsylvania railroad struck their auto at Leetsdale Station near Pittsburgh. The victims were L. Lavelle of Ambridge G. A. Perry and C. J. Dimmers of Buffalo. Poor visibility from two freight trains obscured the crossing and the flyer, late and fast, struck the car. Bodies were found on the engine pilot and carried to Shield station.

No Inquest In Kennedy Death Found

Home Plumville Thoroughfare Up For Bids
The Home Plumville road project and related highway bonds are up for bidding. A 2000 foot section and a railroad crossing on Route 68 were delayed but scheduled to be bid with the Home Plumville construction. A one and a half mile Rossiter to the Jefferson county line concrete road finally drew eleven bidders with Milligan & Ringler of Blairsville the low bidder at two hundred seventy thousand six hundred forty seven dollars and seventy four cents. The next section of the tet and Punxsutawney road near Hamill to the county line is set for bid Saturday.
