George Rogers Jr the son of Rev George Rogers rector of Christ Church broke his right arm last Thursday evening when he fell on a curbstone while playing a game of Dull. The fracture was reduced and he is improving.

Photographers Convention Faces Large Cash Donation Night
The Photographers Association of Pennsylvania West Virginia Delaware and Maryland held a session in Philadelphia amid a cash rush as members donated over 800 dollars to a def icit treasurer W J Goldman Reading. Officers were elected including Thomas Billark president and Goldman treasurer. The group voted to rename the association The Photographers Association of Penmar Delva with Harrisburg as next meeting site. Bronze medals went to twenty exhibitors and over fifteen hundred photos were displayed. A solid silver service will honor retiring president Albert Holden.

Killed by His Horse in Montgomery Township
Montgomery township resident Ford G Rankin died after a horse reared and fell backward injuring him Friday. He left a wife and family, was about 30, and a brother of Mrs D H Tomb of this place, son of William Rankin. Funeral services were held Monday.

In Sight of His Brother Conductor Dies in Streetcar Crash
Conductor George C. Thompson of the Consolidated Traction on car No. 824 was fatally injured when a west bound car struck him as he leaned from his vehicle near Forbes and Chestnut streets. He died at Mercy hospital two hours after the impact. His brother John Thompson, also a street car conductor, assisted and later died the same night. George was 23, single, boarded at Rural Avenue 5703, Pittsburg. Remains were moved to Robert Thompson’s home near Kellersburg and interred at Gilgal church cemetery. The deceased was a son of the late Robert Thompson of Rayne two.

Murder in a Lumber Camp Near Wehrum
In a July 25 incident at a Buffington township lumber camp near Wehrum, George Clinton was shot and died after a fight with John Dubie alias John Gainor, who fled. Dubie, described as daring and wanted in Webster County for a shooting, remains at large with officers pursuing. A reward may be offered, and Dubie previously escaped custody in Addison jail with seven others.

Committed death by own action in Montgomery county
William Silvis a well known Montgomery resident died by his own hand on Sunday using a razor. He threatened self harm earlier, was found with rope in hand near the barn, and after being locked in a room at Susac Goss's residence he used an old razor to end his life. No inquest was held due to certainty of death.

Railroad Developments Drive Coal Lands Expansion in Clearfield Region

Mrs Judge White Falls From Steps Injures Self
On Sunday evening Mrs. Judge White sat with friends on residence steps to view clouds. She lost balance and fell five or six feet, bruising and injuring herself seriously. No bones were broken but she remains bedbound from the shock and the bruise, slowly recovering strength.
