Ellsberg in-law refuses to testify before grand jury
The brother in law of Dr Daniel Ellsberg refused to testify before a Los Angeles federal grand jury probing the Pentagon papers leak. Spencer Marks invoked the Fifth and Albert Appleby also declined to testify on self incriminating grounds. U S attorney David R Nissen said the hearings seek possible additional charges against Ellsberg who is charged with illegal possession of secret documents. Sally Binford and Linda Sinay appeared. the panel recessed until Monday for Anthony Russo to testify.
