World of Wings adds Boeing 747 service LA to NY
Trans World Airlines plans the first domestic 747 service on February 25 between Los Angeles and New York with 342 seats and a two movie lounge layout. International flights to London start March 18. Inflight features include two movie screens per cabin and a family rated film option. An interline with Golden West allows baggage transfer to 21 communities.
