ACLU challenges Ford amnesty report as whitewash
The ACLU branded the Presidential Clemency Board report on Vietnam era amnesty as a whitewash designed to gloss a punitive program. It cites 750,000 to two million resisters with little relief, notes 113,337 eligible but only 2,729 applied, and 14,514 granted or conditional pardons.
