He sold a 1 1/2 acre ranch south of town to Q Schilling of Portland and took a position at Union Savings and Loan. Tra Mix is first lieutenant, Frank Dickson second. Schilling will assume possession at the start of the coming period and comes with strong recommendations and a desirable property.

Bewley Returns From Two Week Deer Hunt in Mountains
J A Bewley came back Monday night from a two week deer hunting trip in Jackson county. He went with Robert Low Frank Whiteaker and Hugh Guthrie. From a Glen dale rail point they hiked 30 miles into the mountains and four deer were killed by the time he left camp. Each hunter expected to take his allotment. Bad weather slowed Bewley, so he returned ahead of the others.
