Vast 800000 Acre Oregon Land Deal Closed
The Oregon & Western Colonization Co with a $12,000,000 capital closes to own a 800000 acre belt from Albany Oregon to Ontario Idaho. President W. P. Davidson and VP John E. Burchard plan an 800 mile auto inspection and rapid colonization as rail lines expand. The tract includes 140000 acres of timber and 660000 acres of rich agricultural land with oil gas minerals and huge timber reserves.

Mary Nichola McIntosh a longtime teacher and church worker dies after prolonged illness in Dayton Oregon She was born February 21 1880 in Monona Iowa and later taught across Iowa Minnesota Oregon Her husband J Graham McIntosh survives with her mother sister and four brothers Funeral services were held at Dayton Methodist Church with multiple pastors present and interment in the Odd Fellows cemetery follow a sermon on Psalm 116 verse 15.
