Independence lodge of the Fraternal Union held an evening meeting initiating ten candidates including four from Monmouth and six from Independence. About forty-five visiting members from Albany and Monmouth attended. State Organizer Charles Maples spoke on the Union’s benefits. music and a lunch followed.
