Tonight and Friday the arc terian church hosts an elite Rose Fair with a minstrel show on Thursday and a musical literary program on Friday. The event aims to crown first premiums amid county rivalry, with general admission set at 15 cents and children at 10 cents. Reserved minette seats available at Locke's for 28 cents.
The Monmouth Circle No 31 Women of Woodcraft unveiled a marble monument over Neighbor Soratford’s grave last Sunday afternoon. Delegations from Independence Buena Vista Monmouth and other Circles attended the ceremony. The event honored the deceased and reflected the order’s duty to care for members and preserve their resting place.

The conference aims to attract 600 to 700 teachers with lectures by Wim Crane of Dayton and other notable speakers. Superintendent Ackerman is coordinating the program expected to be the best on record.
Polk County Pomona Grange plans to meet Highland Grange on the fourth Saturday in January at 10 A M. The change reflects the pioneer picnic at Dallas January 21, the Pomona day.
