Portland Club Pushes One Way Colonist Rates Leaflets
The Portland Commercial Club sent 2100 pounds of publicity and six tons earlier for one million leaflets promoting one way colonist rates to Oregon points. Leaflets target students, clergy, banks, businesses, factories, hotels, and homes to spread the campaign. Tickets to other rail points cost the same as Portland, but return local rates apply beyond the city.
