Fifth Ward Seeks Election Judges for 1978 79 Term

Alderman Wins Big Drive for Hyde Park Lake Shore Improvements
Alderman Ross Lathrop announces a joint Illinois Chicago Park District plan to rebuild Lake Shore Drive from 12th to 61st Street with resurfacing new deceleration lanes and exits. The plan returns park land, adds parking, and includes a public hearing around January 1 1978. A competing Hyde Park Kenwood Conference stance was rejected at the November meeting. The project affects 53rd through 61st Street exits and includes deleting multiple drive entrances. A separate Young Collectors Sale at the University of Chicago runs December 4 to 11 with prints by Miro Whistler Goya Roualt and Richard Hunt.
