Hyde Park eviction case test of long circuit court trial
Hyde Park eviction dispute before Judge Irwin Cohen at the Civic Center lasts over 16 hours as landlord Francis Pickett seeks eviction of tenants Peter Vasile and Barbara Nadel. Defendants argue retaliatory eviction due to code complaints and tenant organizing. Both sides present claims of constitutionally protected assembly and building conditions amid testimony from tenants and an opposing attorney.
