Lakefront land use ordinance eyed for Hyde Park area
Mayor Daley introduced an ordinance in the Chicago City Council to require plan commission approval for new private and public developments within three lakefront zones. The measure covers high rises over 100 feet, multi dwelling projects over 100 units, and developments larger than one acre or taller than twice the local 330 foot radius average, expanding review to privately owned land.
