Voorhees gift to Huron College funds new main building
Ralph R. Voorhees of Clinton Iowa donates 100000 to Huron College. The gift, combined with prior gifts totaling 145006, funds erection of a 5 story stone main building with 74 by 120 foot center and five side wings plus basement recitation rooms and offices. Plans call for a 65 to 80 thousand dollar structure to be started next spring.

Special court term in Beadle County adjourns abruptly
Beadle County circuit court closed last Saturday after a lengthy fall term with many criminal and civil actions settled out of court. The Kelley cases were unsettled, with juries dismissed as no further trials were scheduled until Judge Whiting may call December sessions.
